Planpoint Launches Visit, Bringing Interactive Floor Plans to Resale Home Listings
New tool links listing photos and notable room features to a floor plan so buyers can explore a home room by room
AUSTIN, TX, UNITED STATES, October 21, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Planpoint, the real estate software company behind interactive floor plans for new residential developments, today announced the launch of Planpoint Visit for agents and photographers marketing resale homes. A floor plan shows the size and arrangement of a home, while photos show what individual rooms look like. Visit brings the two together so buyers can move through a property room by room, understand how the spaces connect and picture how they might use them. Agents can also point out the details that give each room its character.“Buyers want to imagine what it would be like to live in a home, but a gallery of photos can make it hard to understand how the spaces fit together,” Cardinal said. “Visit gives them a more natural way to explore. They can follow the layout, see each room from the angles an agent has chosen and start to picture themselves there before they walk through the door.”
Meet Planpoint Visit
Visit is designed to fit into the process of preparing a property listing. Agents and photographers can:
- Quickly create and publish a floor plan with an iPhone — Use Planpoint’s free scanning app on supported iPhone models to place viewpoints and publish an interactive tour without arranging a separate 3D capture. Anyone can generate a floor plan in minutes instead of days.
- Let buyers explore room by room — Connect curated listing photos to a floor plan so buyers can see each space in the context of the whole home.
- Call attention to standout features — Highlight notable details within a room alongside the photos that show them.
- Help buyers picture their own style — Let visitors use an AI interior design tool to redecorate a room and quickly see how the space might feel with their preferred furnishings and decor.
- Share a tour wherever buyers find the listing — Add a direct link to listings on sites such as Zillow, Trulia and Redfin, or embed the tour on an agent or agency website.
- See how buyers explore — Use Pro analytics to track time spent, room-level attention and points where buyers leave a tour.
- Build and publish quickly — Planpoint says the process can be completed in under 45 minutes.
Visit also offers branding options, lead forms and analytics that show how buyers engage with a tour, including which rooms hold their attention and where they leave.
Planpoint began as a tool for new developments, where buyers often have to evaluate a home before it is built. Its existing product has recorded more than 24.7 million unit views, 15.3 million floor plan downloads and 1 million favorites. Visit brings Planpoint’s floor plan approach to the much larger resale market.
“Photos can make a home look beautiful, but they don’t always tell you where the rooms are or how they connect,” said Laurent Cardinal, founder of Planpoint. “With Visit, buyers can explore a listing from the floor plan, see the photos that matter to them in context and discover the details that make each room stand out. It gives agents a better way to show a home using the images they’ve already chosen.”
Planpoint Visit is available to real estate agents and photographers. Pricing starts at $15 per month for five active property listings.
